Maya doesnt seem to be doing so good. She's been on medicine for high white blood cells (she has an infection somewhere) and it should have helped by now. The thing is, she is losing weight...this morning she was 67 grams...down from 77 over a week ago. She only wants to eat seed but even that, she doesnt eat much. She picks the seeds she wants and in the end, doesnt end up eating that much. I dont know what to do. She gets mad when I try to hand feed her with a syringe, she wont eat pellets...Even if she was eating seed and gaining weight, I would accept that but she is not gaining anything. Anyone have ideas on how I can make her eat more??
thanks.

I have to chime in and say don't feed her egg food! That is the only thing that i could pin Cookie and Bailee's recent bacterial infection on, and on speaking to several other people every single one of them said DON'T use commercial egg food and it's full of bacterial and nasties.

If she's weaned she MUST have been on something more than egg food, otherwise she's not weaned. You could make your own egg food (hard boil an egg, mash the whole thing up - shell included - mix in some seeds, pellets and wholemeal bread crumbs, and also some grated veggies if you want. That will keep in the fridge for about 3-4 days, so if you just do one egg per batch you'll be able to use it all.
