This past month my boy developed a new disgusting and unhealthy habit, he chews his droppings!!!!

I try to keep his cage clean but I can't supervise him all the time...

what should I do?

Are you sure your tiel is really eating his droppings or is he just chewing on them? My Sunny also likes to pick up long-hardened droppings from the floor (I let her fly around my condo and naturally there are always 1-2 dried droppings here or there that I haven't noticed before) but she doesn't eat them or anything. She just wants to chew on them because it's already hardened and great for chewing.

Mine sometimes peck at their droppings and Ryo is going through a really heavy molt (which surprises me due to her age but I guess the day time temp has gone up as much as 18 degrees in the last 4-8 weeks so she's probably picked up on this).

I am using brewers yeast twice a week (on food), vit c twice a week and aloe vera 3 times a week (in water). I just started recently. I'm doing 2 weeks 'on' and 1 week 'off'. I have noticed a big (good!) change in Ryo's feathers already.
