He's had me crying with laughter this afternoon. As some of you might know, I've just got two baby guinea pigs. Dooby and Daisy were in their cage and so I shut the door and got out the piggies for a cuddle. I held Maisy up to the cage so that Dooby could see, he said "What is it?" So, I said, "It's a guinea pig"....he said "Yum, Yum!" I don't think I'll be letting him out whilst I've got the piggies out.......he might just take a bite to taste!!! :p:p:p:p:p

12 piggies is the most we've ever had at one time and then over the years, they have all died of old age, one got cancer the rest was just old age. I missed their funny little ways, it's been around 18 months since the last one went and I just couldn't go without any longer. LOL. It would be great if Dooby became friends with them, but he's a bit wild for them at the moment, they are still at the run from everything stage.

LOL cute story.

Just a warning, don't let Dooby or Daisy near the pigs without cage bars in between them. I've kept pigs for the last seven years and without fail they'll go for a birds wings, tail or crest if they feel slightly threatened, either that or freak out totally. A tiels natural curiosity can feel threatening to a pig and having them fly over or spread there wings really freaks them out. It's just not something I would trust as they may get on for a while then something will happen and you'll end up with unhappy animals on both sides. Simon, one of my pigs lives in my room, and he's the most laid back pig you could ever find and he used to get on fine with Echo, would share veggies and everything then Echo took flight while sitting near Simon and Simon went nuts he threw himself against the cage walls continually, I had to throw a towel over him to stop him, he attacked me when I tried to pick him up, that was the one and only time Si has ever bitten anyone

I love wheekeres though I've got Nine at the moment, mainly rescue though Si is a pedigreed Silver Agouti English Merino, won quite a few awards before I got him, he's a retired boy now, he's four years old.

Thanks for the advice. I would never try and mix them anyway, piggies are prey animals and mostly preyed on by birds, so it must be frightening for them to have birds swooping down near them. Having said that, Dooby and Daisy do land on the piggies cage but yes, there is a grill between them. I'm hoping that the piggies will get used to them flying around, piggies are only eight weeks old at the moment and they are still quite skittish.
