The death of my male cockatiel this morning has left my female by herself. My heart is broken and I am not sure of what to expect for her

I am so sorry to hear of your male cockatiel passing. I know first hand how much it hurts to lose a feathered friend. How long did you have him and about how old was he? Just like us humans, I'm sure it will take some time for your female to get use to his absence.

I’m sorry, I can’t imagine how sad you are. Your cockatiel will probably be depressed especially if they were a couple. When my birds 2 siblings flew away, she stopped eating and was losing weight so we had to get her a partner. She went back to normal and she’s really happy, so I would definitely get her a partner because she can also possibly pass away from depression. Again, sorry for your loss.
