Hi guys I brought a roll out awning blind for our cage. The awning is Seethru and breathable and will let a little bit of water in. It lasted 3 years now needs replacing. Do I really need it or not or am I just wasting my time every morning at 5 a.m. and 9 p.m. with up and down. Our birds sleep and perch up the top. Thanks

Hi there, welcome to the forum!

What country are you from? Does it get really cold at night? The awning would protect them from the weather and insulate from the cold and perhaps it might keep predators away so I think it's a good thing to have on an outdoor aviary.

Cheers for the reply. We are in South Australia, so hot summers and cold winter nights. But the cage is now under the Eave of the house. Its our 2nd cage as a rat got in our original gage and killed our great little man polly (he was so good as in whistling so many tunes) new cage is rat proof. But we have had huge issues with our birds (another story in this cage) all good now all 4 get on. Thanks for the response
