In the process of searching for my lost male cockatiel, Sport, I was
contacted by Phila Animal Control (PACCA). A female cockatiel
(or juvenile male) was brought in to them on the evening of
Monday, April 21st. The bird was found somewhere in NORTH
WEST philly (no other details available). She is pretty roughed
up and VERY hungry I suspect she might have been lost some
time ago. At any rate I am now fostering this bird. She has a muted
yellow face with orange cheek spots. She has striped tail features
(though only gray and white, no yellow) which is what leads to
me to believe she is a she or possibly a very young male. It
looks like whoever owned her had been clipping her wings.
