So I have two females and one male cockatiel. One of the female (pied) won't leave the male's side. But she runs away when he tries to court her. What's weird is, sometimes she comes on to him and asks for his attention but he ends up biting her and chasing her away. I don't know what to make of this. Do any of u have an idea how to help them get closer without fighting with each other?

One of our females sometimes asks my male to mate her, and he does the same, bites her or just walks away!

It could be due to it needing to be Spring for him to mate her, but I'm not sure. We also have two females, and @Misstiel told me that for some males, mating the first time, they rather being alone with the female, and another female might make him not want to do that.

I'm not a professional though :D

Ohhh that's actually makes sense. My relatives also suggested to keep the other female away from the pair and they might bond. I'll have to try that method.
Thanks a lots for replying to me 😃
