I've had my cockatiel since December, and really the only noises she makes are screams for my attention, and the begging dinosaur ones. However lately she's been making new sounds and I don't know what they mean. I've starting hearing the weird sounds when I wake up(she sleeps in the same room as me) but once she hears me get up to pull down the covers she stops. I've also heard these sounds slightly when I pass by the living room and she's with my sister and dad in there. They make me feel like she's choking but I guess that doesn't make sense otherwise she'd do it more often. Does anyone know what these sounds are?

It's not a sound I've heard any of our females make and we have 7 however.....I really don't think it's anything to worry about. This is going to sound crazy but that sound is very similar to what our two male sun conures make!!! LOL! From time to time cockatiels both male and female will come up with new sounds and in most cases, it's to get your attention.
