Hello, Im new here, I wanted to ask something about my cockatiel, we have had him for about four months now and his wing feathers and tail feathers havent grown at all and he is about 1 year old, i wanted to ask, is this normal or could my cockatiel be sick?

How is he eating? What does his poop look like? How is he acting? Have you taken him for his first check up? These are things to be concerned with sickness. Did you have his tail feathers trimmed?
He usually only eats seeds and refuses to eat any fruit/vegetables but he sometimes eats small dried pieces of fruit, his poop is usually small and green and i dont see anything unusual about his behaviour. I have never trimmed his tail nor his wing feathers but he was like that from the time we got him, generally he doesnt show any signs of sickness
Edit: i wanted to ask, cpuld it be because he might be over preening? I see him preening most of the time but my new cockatiel isnt preening as much and i just thought of it
