Females do not lose their pearls. My tiel in my siggy was a female pearl and her's never changed.

Why do you want a female? For breeding? You don't need one if you already have two birds. Three can be a crowd and there can be a lot of jealousy and one tiel getting left out.

I agree, breeding involves a lot of commitment. Took a year for my first pair to breed; it took another year before they were on any level successful at it. And if you think you'll make any money, forget about it. Cockatiel breeding is more of a hobby than any type of business; you'll be lucky to get out what you put in.

I really love to have both. Planning to buy two females and give one pair to my brother. I will keep one pair with me. Yes i want to breed my birds. Its my hobby. I love it.
