Hi Talk Cockatiels!

Is anyone here from Boston, Cambridge, Somerville, etc?

I just moved here with my bird, and I need somewhere to get his nails clipped. Also, I'd like to line up a vet who I can use if there's ever an emergency.

As for nail clippings, vets do nail clippings as well as some stores. I would go with the vet option as unless you find a specialized place... they may do a poor job. Vets are usually very skilled at nail trims, especially avian ones.

When I find Kiwi's nails getting long I use a towel and some nail clippers. I have to have someone hold her while I clip though. xD

Thank you so much! That was EXACTLY what I needed.

I probably should learn to clip his nails myself but I'm just too nervous. Maybe one day I will do it!

I really appreciate the help. I will go to one of the vets on that list--it shows two right close to me!
