Recently my cockatiel has been getting this black stuff under his beak and around it. We got some out with a tooth pic but it's still there and it smells really bad? Does anyone know what it is and what I can do? Thanks

It's under his beak? Did you give your vet a call? I would, especially if it smells bad.

I would take him to the vet as soon as possible. It could be anything from an infection or virus, to a tumor or cancer.

Is it more of a growth like the one in this link?

One person had something similar, it was like a mole on their bird's beak. They took their 'tiel to the vet and the vet said that they could do laser surgery if he didn't scrape it off himself. The 'tiel scraped it off, but no one has defined what type of illness this is. So please post back if you do find out!
