It sounds like they are being a bit hormonal. I would give them 12 hours or dark it may help, here is an article on hormonal tiels http://www.birdchannel.com/bird-beh...d-small-bird-behavior/hormonal-cockatiel.aspx . Also how big is their cage mabey they are starting to get a bit cage territorial with each other? If they keep fighting they may have to be separated. Iam sure someone with more than one tiel may be able to give you some more info Let us know how it goes
Like you I have 3 tiels also, they do fight every so often, but it hasn't gotten to the stage where they need to be seperated.
A reason why they could be fighting is jealously if one bird's getting more attention than the other(s).. could also be due to being overcrowded in their living space and they need more room.. reasons are pretty much endless. Anyways, they're like living creatures and aren't always going to get a long for various reasons and fights will/can occur. Usually there's nothing more than a lot of noise and the birds won't get phsically harmed, although if one of them does get harmed then you should seperate them into different cages.
Thank you for advice, I will try some suggestions. They have a big cage and all the living room to fly, with swings on the cieling and toys all over the room to play. They put them selves to bed most nights. They cheep to say when they want to go to bed and when they want to get up in the morning. They are very spoilt and own us, but we will try some ideas.Thankyou for your help. Anne
