Hi,I'm new to this site,was just wondering my cockateil seems to be puffing up and going to the bottom of the cage a lot and sleeping.Hes still got a good appetite and flies about when he comes out but just a bit worried about him,thanks

Those behaviors are all classic signs of illness. It could be a bacterial or yeast infection or both. The sooner you bring him to your bird vet, the better. When they start exhibiting signs of illness like this they can go downhill fast. Because they are prey birds they hide any signs of illness as long as they can. So when an owner starts seeing symptoms, speed in getting the bird to the vet and treated is critical. Good luck.

Get him to the avian vet ASAP! He is likely very sick. Birds hide their illnesses so that by the time they show symptoms like what you’re describing, the illness/infection has already well progressed.
