I have one pair of birds (the cracker eaters) that have snubbed the beans I have been giving them for months. A couple of days ago their beens looked as if they had been beaked a bit. I gave them another batch yesterday and within a couple of hours they had eaten the whole dish of beans (probably about 1/4 cup). I am so pleased these guys are finally accepting the foods I give them. These are the same birds that suddenly decided that veggies were OK about a month ago, so I guess the advice I hear given here all them time has another confirmation "Just keep giving it to them" Yes folks, it does work!

That's great!! All my tiels love beans, i made a fresh batch of chilli rice and bean mix the other day which they all devoured.

I added rice with this last batch I made. It was wild rice. I heard that had the best nutritional value. I'm not so sure they are going for it though.
