My cockatiel's 1stbegg hatched today around 4 am i think. Its been 8 hours since then and it's my first time experiencing this.
The parents have not fed the baby at all. Is this normal? They're incubating the other eggs

Congratulations! That's so exciting! It's such a great experience! Yes, that's normal as the baby is still absorbing its nutrients from the egg. I'd keep an eye on it just to make sure though since some first time parents won't feed their chicks at all. Keep us updated, please! 😊

I see! I'm glad tho coz both the parents seem to be feeding him just fine. I'm a little worried about the other three eggs. Once they hatch, wouldn't it be hard on the parents to handle all 4 chicks? I heard that sometimes the chick's crops won't be full because the parents struggle to feed all the chicks.

I’ve had 3 chicks before, and the parents did just fine. I guess it kind of depends on the parents. I’d just watch and see. If you know how to handfeed, you could always take over the feeding so the parents don’t have to worry about feeding them all.
