Sorry. VCA is a vet clinic in California. They have them way up in northern California as well as down in Los Angeles. And from my 2 experiences I’d say never go there. Find a mom and pop avian vet. Seriously they have idiots running the places. The first one looked as though a bunch of kids took over the place and had the adults locked in the closet. The second one in LA, the woman looked at avenger and seemed normal but then she took her back in the 'other' room and the sounds coming from in there were horrible. Bird shrieks and people laughing like they were at some house party. How do these places stay in business?? Sorry I was very upset that they couldn't help Avengers nose condition even when I agreed to pay the $105. I pay less than that for my crappy HMO and I at least get a diagnosis and meds to boot.

oh i am sorry...
it is hard dealing with bad vets, i agree a local vet is (almost)always better than a 'conglomo' chain vet...
finding a good avian vet is, i would have to say in my personal experience, the hardest thing about having avian children!
but once you find a good vet, you are set
