I'm not sure if Tiki is just preening or if he is a little itchy... could very well be with all the stress he has had. Do any of you give any type of supplement in the water to help with skin and feathers?? I see where Bird.com has an 8 in 1 supplement for skin and plumage... is it worth it to get that?? His diet is pretty much the same as the breeder had him on..

If he's getting a good varied diet then supplements are unnecessary. :) Tiels spend a lot of time preening their feathers, that's just part of having to be a beautiful bird. Most supplements are designed to go in the water which can allow bacteria to grow faster and it can also turn a bird off wanting to drink.

Thanks, yes, this supplement is spose to go in the water..I will just watch him and see if it tends to get worse... I think a bath would help him out, but he has no interest in a bath yet, tho I have set a dish of water in his cage several times, I do mist him every day tho.... which he isn't very responsive to either.
