2+ year old tiel, first time egg laying. She hasn’t laid an egg yet but showing signs of labour from time to time, feeling heavier and acting broody.
Male keeps trying to hop on top of her, they’ve done it 3 times in the past 2 days.
If she has a suspected egg on the way, is it ok to allow them to mate?

No problem. They will mate every day multiple times before last eggs laid. If you'r going to breed them. Provide enough high quality foods and minerals right now, especially calcium. At this stage female is craving of calcium.

Don't let him mate with her if you think she's in labor. Males don't always read the signals right, and he might think that she's asking for sex when she's actually trying to lay an egg. If this has been going on for two days then I would be very worried that she might be eggbound. It would be wise to talk to a vet.
