I have had other tiels before getting a fifth male tiel, and Sydney is by far one of the most difficult tiels I have had. I got him as a baby from a breeder. He was hand-fed. When I brought him home it took three weeks for him not to straight up lunge at me when I was changing his water or food. He was aggressive with me and his toys. And now he is has accepted me into his “flock” but no one else is ok. Not only that but if anyone is in the room with me when he is out he will take his aggression out on me. I have had amazons and parrotlets act this way but never a tiel ? Anyone else have a moody baby?

It sounds like you have a tiel that was maybe hand-fed, but NOT hand-tamed very well! In other words he simply wasn't handled enough when younger. As to your question, YES, our second tiel comes to mind regarding touchy attitudes. That would be Kiwi our normal grey. He is for sure a Jykle & Hyde type of bird! He seems to do better with my wife but will often fly to my shoulder a whistle a song for me! Now when it comes to bed time and he's not in the mood to go, I don't even bother unless I want a good bite! Kiwi is already the baby daddy to three clutches of babies so I guess he has good reason to be cranky at times!
