This one, suprisingly is very tame. Jasper (we named him after 1 day of thinking of a name) let us pick him up and he sat on my mums shoulder for ages, so we're happy we got him. Oh and he has a green band thingy on his foot, what does that mean?

I'm gonna be a pain and ask one more question (lol) how old does he look to you? someone said in another thread (a few people I think it was actually) that when they don't have the full yellow face it doesn't mean they're an adult so does that mean this one's still a baby or nearly an adult?

This one is Squeak. We got him and he suddenly started chattering and what it sounded like imitating a magpie, canary and we called him Squeak because he also makes a sqeaking noise when doing the other imitating noises we can't figure out what they are yet. :lol: He isn't tame unfortunately, but I am def gonna work on taming him.

Jasper looks like a light pied to me, rather than a normal grey, so he could be any age. His face/head will probably always be that colour. The leg band will be from the breeder, does it have any info on it? You could be able to figure his age out from that.

Oh alright then.

I had a look on the band and all it has is "227" :blink:

That could mean something along the lines of 22nd baby of 2007, or it could be random numbers.

It is great that they are settling in already, and Jasper is already tame. As for the leg band, were did you buy them from, a breeder, a pet shop or..?? Couldn't you go back and just take the numbers and ask them if they know what they mean..?

You could be very right, Bea. Lol.

I got Jasper from the pet shop, and yep I sure can take it back and ask them what it is/could be. I'm thinking about doing it over the weekend if not then, maybe next week one day when I haven't got College.

I am sure they must have an idea what it means, or were you can find the right information from. It will be interesting if you find it out!

Yeah, I'd have thought so too. But my mum rang this morning while I was asleep and they said they don't know, well they said it's mostly likely from the breeder, but that's all they said. So I am gonna go and see the breeder where I got Mali and Tilly from and see if she has any idea - I'd say she would, her being a breeder.

They are both very cute I would try a search on the internet for band info. Sometimes there are bird band registration sites.
