Just wondering if any of you familiar with breeding know for a fact if the chick does indeed hatch after 18-21 days?

My chicks hatch in 16-18 days. Hatch time is somewhat variable, and eggs tend to hatch sooner when the weather is warmer. It also depends on exactly when the parents started incubating.

Were you able to candle the eggs after they were laid?

Yep. But only 1 had veins after 4-5 days. The rest were infertile so I replaced them with fake ones I bought off the Internet and have kept the 1st egg which was fertile. Day 12, 13 tomorrow and I've noticed movement inside daily. Hmmm... Didn't know they can hatch earlier than 18 days o_O thanks

Mine always hatched at 17 days because of the humidity levels here I'm assuming so it just depends on the development of the baby.

Hi, I was wondering how soon my cockatiel eggs will hatch. My female laid her first egg on June 1, and both cockatiels started laying on it right away. Does anyone know if it will hatch on June 18 then, or will it hatch on June 21? TIA
