My supposedly both female (DNA tested!) pair of cockatiels had babies.
Mother (she's pearl):
Parents both have the red reflective eye of cinnamons. They both have to be pearls since all the babies are pearls. There is a whiteface baby so parents should both be split...
Hello! My male cockatiel Ian is 14 years old, a whiteface gentleman with bits of white on the back of his head. I have no clue about his pedigree, he's just my sweet old man. He has a mate and a roommate and they all get along surprisingly well.
Recently I started giving them all vitamin...
I have the following Female cockatiels(Photos attached) I need to know the best pairing for them. I thought of pairing them with White Face pied Males but I read that it's not advisable to pair so.
Can you please suggest the best Males to be paired with these Females
I have one chick, yellow with red eyes.
Male - - > Whiteface split bronze fallow (proven) (I can see some split pied markings on the back of head)
Female - - > opaline split pastelface
So this leaves me with 2 options:
1. Male is also split lutino which makes the chick...
Hey, everyone. Hope you're well. I've had cockatiels for long, and this isn't the first time that I have any, but never before have I bred them. I'm sure everyone here knows what lovely companions cockatiels can be. I thought it would be exciting to experience mine having chicks and see them...
I am new here... Found more interesting things about Cockatiel over here.
Could you please help me on below.
My Whiteface male and Albino(whiteface lutino) produce only whiteface pearl chick, mostly female.
Could you please suggest me how to get normal whiteface male or female?
I'm not very experienced with gendering cockatiels so any help would be greatly appreciated (:
I am considering purchasing this beauty from my breeder (already got 2 quality hand raised birds from them) however I'm hoping it is a male as I want at least one that'll be able to whistle...
I have a couple of tiels that just started nesting for their second time.
The female is a WF Pearl and the male seemed like a Clear Pied at first because I can't see red in his eyes no matter how close I look or even if I direct some light at it. However, out of the 4 babies that were born...
I have a whiteface pied female, and I'm trying to find her a good mate white trying to have them make whiteface babies. I know you cannot do "like to like", but could she, as a whiteface pied, mate with a normal whiteface male and have healthy offspring? Thanks!! :wf pied:
I'm looking to get albino babies but I'm starting to wonder if I'm on the right track. I have a grey whiteface pearl pied male and I'm thinking of buying a Lutino female. Which babies will I get from this pairing? Any chance of albinos?
These guys have been working on bonding the past several months, and I just noticed recently that they were showing signs of wanting to mate. So, I provided a nest box and BOOM! They are so busy!
I came home tonight and Cash was really singing away in the bird room. I went in to check on...
I just want to share exciting news! After a few weeks of searching, we finally found a girl for Opie. She is still in quarantine but doing well! We now have 4 cockatiels and our parakeet. Our little flock is coming together!
We are keeping our fingers crossed that she and Opie will be BFFs...
Hello everyone! I am looking for some constructive input on what visual mate I should look for in order to get a variety of healthy and happy chicks from my male whiteface.
Opie is 2 years old and very interested in breeding with his favorite toys and another, female cockatiel I have. However...
here is mum and dad :)
this is their first time getting to have their eggs hatch, last season was their first laying season and their eggs were stolen.
5/5 of their eggs have hatched - I think I'll be getting one :)
Sadie & Archie will be in their existing cage, and the new tiel will go in...
I have a female lutino and a normal grey male. They had three babies, two grey males and one cinnamon female. So i'm wondering if this means the father is split to cinnamon and if the grey babies are split lutino? What about the cinnamon female? Do we know anything about the mother? I heard that...
Been trying to figure out what you would call the colour of my cockatiel, and the sex based off that (I'm calling her a girl, for now.)
She is around 9 months old, has red eyes, and at first glance looks 100% white. Upon a closer look, there's definitely what looks like cinnamon pearling there...
